** Traffic Alert **

Dear VMC Families,

On May 10th we informed you that The City of Chicago Department of Water Management would begin construction to begin installing a new water main around our campus. This includes the water main located on 47th Street. You may have already noticed construction underway on S. Kedvale, S. Kolin and S. Keeler Avenues.

The construction started this afternoon and has begun to impact traffic. Please expect lane closures and increased congestion at both arrival and dismissal. Please allow additional time for arrival and dismissal. Although we do not presently have an end date for construction, our school community should anticipate that 47th Street will be impacted by this construction project for the next few months. Construction will be daily beginning at 7:00 A.M.
