This will be my 5th year teaching Spanish to kinder through 8th grade at Zizumbo. I graduated with my bachelors from DePaul University and I’m currently working on my Masters and Bilingual/ESL endorsement. In Spanish class we will not only work on the linguistic and grammatical components of Spanish but also on the aspects of the Hispanic/Latino culture. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 year old son, crafting, and dancing! I hope this will be an enriching year as the students immerse themselves in the study of the Spanish language through activities in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. 

Este será mi 5º año enseñando español a los estudiantes de kinder a 8º grado en Zizumbo. Me gradué con mi licenciatura de la DePaul University y estoy trabajando hacia mi maestría y subespecialización en Educación Bilingüe/ESL. En la clase de español no solo trabajaremos en los componentes lingüísticos y gramaticales del español sino también los aspectos de la cultura hispana/latina. Cuando no estoy enseñado me gusta pasar mi tiempo libre con mi esposo y mi hijo de tres años. También me gusta hacer manualidades, y bailar. Espero que este sea un año enriquecedor para los estudiantes y que aprendan del idioma español a través de actividades de lectura, escritura, expresión oral y comprensión auditiva.
