I am the K-2 Diverse Learner Teacher. This is my 2nd year at Zizumbo and my 9th year teaching. In the past I have taught 2nd grade as well as kindergarten. I love being in lower elementary guiding students as they learn and grow!

I have earned my BA in Human Development and Family Studies learning how family dynamics affect growth and progression. I went on to earn a Masters of Education in Elementary and Special Education from Depaul University along with an ESL endorsement. 

I recently spent 5 years living and teaching in Costa Rica which is a very special experience to me. Outside of school I like to be with my family and travel often. I am looking forward to a fun school year with familiar and new faces!

Soy el maestro de aprendizaje diverso K-2. Este es mi segundo año en Zizumbo y mi noveno año enseñando. En el pasado, he enseñado en segundo grado, así como en jardín de infantes. ¡Me encanta estar en la escuela primaria guiando a los estudiantes a medida que aprenden y crecen!

Obtuve mi licenciatura en Desarrollo Humano y Estudios Familiares aprendiendo cómo la dinámica familiar afecta el crecimiento y la progresión. Luego obtuve una Maestría en Educación en Educación Primaria y Especial de la Universidad de Depaul junto con un respaldo de ESL.

Recientemente pasé 5 años viviendo y enseñando en Costa Rica, lo cual es una experiencia muy especial para mí. Fuera de la escuela me gusta estar con mi familia y viajar a menudo. ¡Espero un año escolar divertido con caras conocidas y nuevas!
