Hello!

I am Ms. Blake and this year I will be teaching 6th grade Reading Language Arts and 7th grade Science. This will be my 11th year at Zizumbo and my 13th year teaching! I have taught grades spanning from 5th-8th and have taught every subject, but Reading is my favorite! 

I graduated from Illinois State University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and ESL. Go Redbirds!  When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family and watching my two sons, Sean (8 years old) and Declan (3 years old) play sports.

I am so excited to start another school year and get to know all my students!

Soy la Sra. Blake y este año estaré enseñando artes del lenguaje de lectura de sexto grado y ciencia de séptimo grado. ¡Este será mi 11° año en Zizumbo y mi 13° año enseñando! He enseñado grados que van del 5 al 8 y he enseñado todas las materias, ¡pero la lectura es mi favorita!

Me gradué de la Universidad Estatal de Illinois en 2009 con una Licenciatura en Educación Primaria con especialización en Lectura, Artes del Lenguaje Inglés, Estudios Sociales, Ciencias y ESL. ¡Van los pájaros rojos! Cuando no estoy enseñando, me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia y ver a mis dos hijos, Sean (8 años) y Declan (3 años) practicar deportes.

¡Estoy tan emocionada de comenzar otro año escolar y conocer a todos mis estudiantes!
